Denman Wildlife Area
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife manages the Denman Wildlife Area in Jackson County. An ODFW agenda summary from 2026 says the area was created in 1954, when 1,760 acres of the former Camp White Military Reservation were transferred to the state, and that land purchases since have brought it to 1,858 acres. Wikipedia says it has segments north and south of White City. Check ODFW for access rules and seasonal closures.
TouVelle State Recreation Site
Oregon State Parks describes TouVelle as a day-use area near Medford, on the banks of the Rogue River and at the foot of Table Rock. Its page lists group picnic areas, a boat ramp with a life jacket loaner station, a dog off-leash area and a 2-mile hiking trail. Fees, hours and restroom status change, so check Oregon State Parks before you go.
